Apple’s addition of a U2 chip in the AirPods Max 2 would therefore provide a much more precise way to locate the earbuds when they’re nearby.
And then there’s the H2 chip, which is the only feature that will allow the headphones to skip a generation. Apple may use the H2 chip it introduced with AirPods Pro in the Max 2 model.
